This week it has been Remembrance Day. We have made some things to represent Remembrance and raised money for the Royal British Legion by selling poppies in school.

Some of us created a giant poppy. On the poppy, we wrote the names of soldiers from Witheridge who have died in the wars. We spoke in Collective Worship about the meaning of Remembrance. The whole school held a two minute silence at 11 o’clock.

It has also been our first week of our new Terracycle project, where you can recycle your bakery waste. We have  collected so much already. It would be an even bigger help if you could all bring in some bakery plastic waste to help us to recycle more.
