Best first week in class 4 in Y5

On the first week back we did a bit of maths but it was so fun and we did not get home work and we did a lot of English but it was fun.AR is a good way of learning to read and get better at reading and we can get points so is better. We have guinea pigs. They are doing well and we have guinea pig monitors who  feed and help and clean up after them. This term’s value of THANKFULLNESS is about being thankful for harvest, drinks, family and friends and to be thankful for  LIFE. Our new topic is Revolution and we are going on a trip to a famous ship called SS GREAT BRITAN and Isambard Kingdom Brunel who made the suspension bridge.

The learning pit

The learning pit is when you feel confident and feel like you can do it and then you run into a problem and fall into the pit. When you fall into the pit you don’t know the answer and want to quit, sometimes people might get upset and irritated . You might be angry and maybe cry. When you’re in the pit you can ask for help from other pupils  and teachers .

Around each classroom there are  four signs the red is thinking, yellow is working well together, green is perseverance and blue is curiosity Red: thinking about what I know , look carefully, think about what to to and think about what I’m learning. Green: Don’t worry if you make a mistake.

We talked about this in class and how it would help us with our learning this year.
